BANGLADESH TAJ MAHAL

BANGLADESHI TAJ MAHAL is a copy of the original Taj Mahal (a Mughal mausoleum located in Agra, India). It located 10 miles east of the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka in Sonargaon. Unlike the original, work on the building took only five years and reportedly cost its wealthy owner USD $58 million. Ahsanullah Moni, a wealthy Bangladeshi film-maker, has told how he built a replica of the Taj Mahal so that the poor of his nation can realise their dream of seeing neighbouring India's famed monument.

The construction of the replica raised anger in India.

The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh says it will sue Ahsanullah Moni  for copyright infringement of the original building; however, the original Taj Mahal is over 300 years old.

Moni has claimed that he has imported marble from Italy, diamonds from Belgium, and some 160 kilograms of bronze for the dome,[3] but some people claim that it is not a complete replica and was not made with the materials claimed.  travel
